1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who accesses HighwayTMS (the “Service”), including company Admins, Employees, and anyone using an account on a customer’s behalf. It is part of the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
2. Lawful Use
You may use the Service only for lawful business purposes. You may not use it to:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
- support fraud, theft, or the movement of unlawful goods;
- facilitate harassment, discrimination, or harm to any person; or
- misrepresent the Service or your relationship with it.
3. Security & Access
You may not:
- access or attempt to access another company’s workspace, data, or documents, or otherwise bypass tenant boundaries;
- share account credentials between people, or use another person’s account;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure except as our Responsible Disclosure Policy expressly allows;
- attempt to bypass authentication, role-based permissions, or Row Level Security;
- intercept, harvest, or exfiltrate data you are not authorized to access; or
- circumvent rate limits or other protective controls.
4. Content & Uploads
You may not upload, store, or transmit:
- malware, viruses, ransomware, or files designed to exploit software or users;
- files crafted to attack the Service, its storage, or other users (including malicious scripts or executable content disguised as documents);
- content that infringes intellectual-property rights (see the Copyright (DMCA) Policy);
- content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that you have no right to possess, store, or process; or
- documents or records falsified to deceive brokers, shippers, regulators, insurers, or any other party.
5. Service Integrity
You may not:
- interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the Service or other customers’ use of it;
- generate abusive automated traffic, scrape the Service, or run bulk operations outside the interfaces we provide;
- reverse engineer the Service except where the law does not allow us to prohibit it; or
- resell, rent, or provide the Service to third parties outside your company workspace.
6. Honest Records
The Service keeps business records that other people rely on. You may not use it to create, alter, or store records you know to be false or misleading, to impersonate another company or person, or to misrepresent driver qualifications, deliveries, rates, or settlements.
7. Privacy & Others' Rights
You may not:
- submit personal information about drivers, employees, or contractors without the legal right and any required notices or consents;
- use the Service to violate anyone’s privacy or data-protection rights;
- collect or process special categories of personal data beyond what the Service is designed to hold; or
- misuse uploaded transportation, driver, or credential records — for example, to stalk, dox, or discriminate.
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, remove or restrict content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve and disclose information where required by law, and report unlawful activity to authorities. Where practical, we will give notice before acting, except where doing so would create risk to the Service, other customers, or an investigation.
9. Reporting
To report abuse or a violation of this policy, contact support@highwaytms.com. To report a security vulnerability, follow the Responsible Disclosure Policy and write to support@highwaytms.com. Copyright complaints go to the designated agent in the Copyright (DMCA) Policy.
